Our people

Our people aren't just a part of our business, they are our business. They tell our stories and they give customers the experiences they have come to love.

At the beginning of the COVID pandemic, we wanted to make sure our casual staff had the confidence to call in sick if they weren't feeling well, so we gave them sick leave and made sure they knew they would never lose a future shift or their jobs because of being sick.

We want our team to grow with us as we grow our business and share our stories with more people.

Packaging

Sustainability is not an added extra, it's woven into everything we do.

From compostable containers made from 100% post-consumer recycled paper, to being the first small bar in Sydney to completely remove plastic straws from service.

Even our online offering, Box Bar, uses 100% recycled, recyclable and compostable packaging.

Cheaper isn't better, better is better.

Net Zero by 2030

We are committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2030. This isn’t just a promise - it’s a path we’re already on. Today, everything we do at The Fox Hole is powered by 100% renewable energy. It’s a small cost, but one of the simplest and most effective steps toward a more sustainable future.

When you join us for your next great story, you can take comfort knowing that the ice in your drink, the food you enjoy, the lights that set the mood, and the music that fills the room are all powered by renewable sources.

This is only the beginning. We continue to seek out ways to reduce, offset, and eliminate our environmental impact, ensuring that our journey to net zero is as meaningful as the experiences we create every day.

Communities

Just as important as our staff: our customers and the environment are the communities in which we operate.

Our toilet paper (Who gives a Crap) helps to build toilets for those who don't have them and (About a Dog) supports animal shelters across Australia. We support charities like Tour De Cure. We provide safe and inclusive spaces for our LGBTIQ+ friends and family.

And we ask the same of our suppliers - including that each of them provide evidence that all their employees have freely chosen employment to help stamp out modern slavery.

None of these things make us special or inherently good - they're just part of our normal.
